Should genetic testing for disease and behavior be made mandatory for all new born babies

     In my opinion, genetic testing is a quite a good technique for treating or preventing heredarity disease.But what if the disease or behavior maybe incurable?There are still lots of problems for these new medical technology need to be discussed.

     For those disease that can be easily treated, such as Homocystinuria and Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia, genetic testing isn’t such a bad way. For the new born babies’ parents it maybe a shock, but it also gives them a chance to treat their babies more earlier, prevent those more significant hazards for their babies. But, what if the diseases are incurable for the babies? Some people maybe curious that “Would their parents become hopeless for the new coming life, choose abortions?” , “Should the living or not be choosed by their parents?” For me, I still stand by the idea for the genetic test for those poor babies. For parents which cannot support the huge treatment costs or those babies which may be dead by diseases earlily, the linger lives should be executed as earlier as they can, better than being a baby bornt to be tortured.

     Though the behavior “genetic testing” won’t be a harmful behavior for the babies, I will stand by genetic testing as well.

     How about the mandatory of genetic testing? In my opinion, those who don’t have the ability to raise a baby just mustn’t have one. Poor economic conditions shouldn’t be a excuse for those parents to shirk the responsibility, concern on their kids’ health. To have healthy and joyful new lives, the mandatory of genetic testing for new born babies is quite necessary.

    Based on the points all above, I strongly agree genetic testing for disease and behavior to be made mandatory for all new born babies. It’s a efficient way to improve the living quality of all human being in the future, and a responsible choice for the babies and their parents.
